Trina Swanson Builds Campaign Momentum with Strong Fundraising, New Endorsements, and Growing Grassroots Support

Campaign milestones include support from key labor and community groups, fundraising growth, and expanded volunteer and voter-contact efforts

October 20, 2026 (Hermantown, MN) — Trina Swanson’s campaign for Congress today announced a series of milestones highlighting its growing momentum, including endorsements from several key labor and community groups, significant fundraising, and an expanded base of supporters from all political ideologies across the region.

Reflecting growing enthusiasm for Swanson’s platform and the strength of her message across the region, her campaign has earned several influential endorsements. In the past few months alone, Trina Swanson has received endorsements from the National Farmers Union PAC, the Alliance for Retired Americans, the Minnesota State Council of Machinists, the American Federation of Government Employees, EMILYs List, the Minnesota AFL-CIO, the Committee to Protect Health Care, Rep. Kelly Morrison, the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees, Education Minnesota, and other community leaders across the region.

“I’m honored to have the support of organizations and leaders who fight every day for working families, farmers, retirees, and our communities,” said Trina Swanson. “These endorsements reflect the broad coalition we’re building around a shared commitment to lower costs, protect healthcare, strengthen workers’ rights, and help our region thrive. I’m ready to bring that commitment to Congress and get to work for the people who call this region home.”

“Trina is dedicated to standing up for Northern Minnesotans and the future of our state,” said Rep. Kelly Morrison. “She is a proven public servant who will fight to bring down healthcare costs, protect our rural hospitals and emergency services, and make life more affordable for all Minnesotans.”

This rampant enthusiasm is also reflected in Swanson’s fundraising efforts. Over the course of three months, Trina Swanson raised more than 50% of her total campaign funds. In Q3 alone, she raised more than $330,000, with most of these dollars being individual contributions as Swanson has promised not to collect one dollar of corporate PAC money. 84% of her individual donors are residents of MN. This is a sharp contrast to her opponent. Pete Stauber has proudly accepted money from corporations and corporate PACS, totaling 48% of his fundraising throughout the election.

Throughout the month of October, the momentum for Trina’s campaign has continued to grow with the month on track to be her most successful fundraising month yet.

“I am so proud that the fundraising for my campaign has been grassroots driven, and that you can feel the enthusiasm for our message through our fundraising efforts,” said Trina Swanson. “Most of the dollars for my campaign have come from hardworking families across the Eighth District, who are choosing to donate some of their hard earned money for the promise of a better, more prosperous future for our region. Many of my donations have just been a few dollars at a time thrown into a bucket at the front of a grassroots event in the district. I am so honored by these gifts.”

The grassroots campaign has over 1000 volunteers working hard to talk to their fellow Minnesotans about Trina’s historic campaign. Trina has held over 190 events in every corner of the district since January, and has recently been on the road on her Let’s Fix It! Tour, where hundreds of constituents from across the political spectrum have attended to ask Swanson candid, live questions, face-to-face.  The final stop of the tour will be on October 21, 2026, in Forest Lake, MN.

“This campaign is about showing up, listening and earning people’s trust,” said Swanson. “We’re building support one conversation at a time, and we’ll keep working to earn every vote.”
